I wonder what’s behind the FBI’s attempts to prevent the dissemination of the Pearl execution video. Does it have anything to do with the NMRPS (National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistan Sovereignity) demands at the end of the video? Are they just carrying out orders from the corporate paymasters at Dow Jones, the owners of the Wall Street Journal where Pearl was employed? Or, are they worried that viewing this video will muddy the waters of this issue? Why should we fear information? The public can only be expected to make the best decisions once it has all the information. Like I said previously, if anything this video holds the potential to galvanize people around the world against terrorism.
NMRPS demands stated in the video:
- The immediate release of all U.S. held prisoners in Guantinamo Bay, Cuba
- The return of Pakistani prisoners to Pakistan.
- The immediate end of U.S. presence in Pakistan.
- The delivery of F-16 planes that Pakistan had paid for and never received.
At the end the video states that “We asure Americans that they shall never be safe on the Muslim Land of Pakistan. And if our demands are not met this scene shall be repeated again and again…” Mind you, this is all displayed with the backdrop of Daniel Pearl’s severed head. It’s pure insanity and awful and disgusting, but it is part of history and not even the FBI has the power or the authority or right to stop it. Download it here.
I find it amazing that everyone with views that are normally positively motivated if liberal ponder the justification of motivation these islamist terrorist aka murderers – a view held by a majority of the islamic world.
On the video the ‘freedom fighters’ make sure that Pearl clearly states his jewishness, revealing their racism, and make him state that Pearl was sure that some of the detainees in Guantanamo were in the same situtaion. Then they kill and behead him.
Let me tell you something folks. Playing with dead bodies is nasty business, and decapitating someone must require some all enveloping love of the act. You know what? I think that the first thing that the US should do, is react tit for tat and decapitate those detainees, after torture of course, while they are alive, tape it and broadcast the video, with background footage of islamic based terrorist attacks and the aftermath, throughout the islamic world. THEN, we should should engage in military campaigns with the same brutality throughout the world against all who would attack the US and Western Civilization and those who sympathize with them. THEN, these islamists will know brutality from the hands of non-muslims. Perhaps then they will learn.
tit for tat is how we got into this in the first place. all violence should be repudiated no matter what the justification.

Your comment is only true if you are advocating Pacifism.
However if Warrior is the chosen path then self defense is the basis upon interjecting oneself in the dance of death. The situation may present itself that someone is going to die in the room but..it will not be me or mine if I have anything to “say” about it. The other guy is completely wrong about torture. It only seperates you from the last gasp on surviving with humanity intact. You dispatch your enemies with efficiency. Violence is always the very last thing. Ps…chris you are not allowed to baby sit any kids I know if you won’t die fighting to defend them if it comes to that…
Exactly. I’m a pacifist.
Did you know?
Did you know
That a warrior and a pacifist
have no philosophical differences….save one?
Some people only pose
As thinkers and doers
But never climb mountain high
Or crawl around in the sewer
Some people only cry
For themselves or their stuff
Meaning criticism or excuse
When they mutter too tough
Some people only fight
In a chaotic way
No center to their essence
Nothing new to say
Some people only live
Never knowing they’ll die
Except intellectually
And even then..
most of that is a lie….
