Whipping the proles into war mode

Rumsfeld was trying to get everyone mentally prepared for the US invasion of Iraq. The Bush administration has already iterated its strike first, investigate later policy. Everyone knows this won’t happen until right before the 2004 election season. Just watch and wait. It’ll happen then or I’m a monkey’s uncle.

Iraq issued a statement Sunday that it was ready to prove that it had no secret program to develop nuclear weapons or possessed chemical or biological weapons.

“They’re lying,” Rumsfeld said. “They have them and they continue to develop them,” he told reporters at an airport press conference in Kuwait City.

Rumsfeld is such a mouthy little bitch. I’d love to beat him in a game of air hockey though he probably cheats.

US puppet Karzai declares himself president

From Reuters:

“It is finished. The assembly has voted for me,” Karzai told Reuters.

But many delegates streaming out of the German beer hall tent that is housing the Loya Jirga expressed anger that Karzai was anointed without a vote, with no consultation and no other candidates allowed to speak.

Well, this is no surprise. Ex-Unocal corporate stooge Hamid Karzai has been tapped by the US to rule Afghanistan since the US invaded the country. It would not be surprising if he had been picked before September 11th. There’s no reason to believe the US had any intention of letting someone else run things there despite all the lip service about letting the Afghan people manage their own affairs. And let’s be honest, the real reasons behind the American takeover of Aghanistan have to do with the unfortunate fact that out of that region they were the weakest government not on good terms with the US. It is really that simple. No Afghans bombed the World Trade Center. All of the bombers were Saudis, but then Saudi Arabia is one of our closest allies in the Mid East, so that’s no good. Presumably, the Taliban did provide assistance to bin Laden and other Islamic militants, but then so did Pakistan, Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia and none of them were subjected to military action. Iraq will be subject to military attack, but it actually had nothing to do with bin Laden. Osama actually opposes the secular style government of Ba’athist Iraq. Just remember nothing is black and white despite what you hear on TV and read in the newspaper. A good rule of thumb is to assume that when you hear Bush or anyone in the Whitehouse speak they’re FOS. Lies, damn lies.

Those were good and then I had these IP hits which came a few minutes after which I had to look up:

It resolved to the US Special Operations Command in Tampa which I assume is the base for US Northern Command or NORCOM. These were the guys who helped provide signal jamming in April to the Venezuelan coup leaders. Additionally, a psyops base in Medina, TX lent a hand.

Thank you. Come again.

Had a visitor from the Naval Space Command today:

10 Jun, Mon, 15:22:09 nsc.navy.mil MSIE 5 Windows 2000

He, she, it was looking for information on “signal jamming”. Maybe they were looking for the story about how the US Navy provided signal jamming and intelligence to the leaders of the coup against Hugo Chavez. Conveniently, the US Navy had a warship off the coast of Venezuela making sure Chavez’s government couldn’t get the word out by blocking cellular and radio communications. Of course, Dubya and his thugs said they had nothing to do with it. They’re little angels.

Great Site!

I just came across New World Disorder. Awesome site. Here are some goodies I found there:

  • Air force colonel accuses Bush of letting 9/11 attacks happen for political gain: “He did nothing to warn the American people because he needed this war on terrorism,” wrote Colonel Butler, who is nearing retirement. “His daddy had Saddam and he needed Osama. His presidency was going nowhere.”
  • Psy-ops teams sells war to Afghans: “It’s just like advertising, like ‘Buy Coca-Cola’,” Maj. Patrick Flanagan, of the 354 Tactical Psy-Ops Company from Bagram Air Base, said Saturday. Except the product that these marketers are selling to Afghans is the American presence on their soil.

My Hero!

I worship the ground that Greg Palast walks on. He is one guy doing some great investigative journalism. He needs to start a school for this. Anyway, good interview with him from June 6, 2002 at Buzzflash.com.

The media said Chavez is unpopular. Where’d they get this? In fact, not only did they say he was unpopular, but they put out as a fact that his popularity dropped to 30 percent. Where’s the 30 percent figure? Who did you get that from? You know what it was? It was the leaders of the coup. The leaders of the coup owned the media, literally, in Venezuela. And they issued these statements. Well, the truth is that there’s only one poll that counts. It’s called a presidential election. I know that George Bush doesn’t have much faith in a presidential election, but Chavez won 58 percent of the vote recently. And I got to tell you — no one doubts that he won 58 percent of the vote, because the opposition controls the electoral machinery.

Bravo!

Oh, and, by the way, the American Ambassador Shapiro ran down to Mira Flores after the coup and had his picture taken with the coup leader, Mr. Pedro Carmona himself. Then, the U.S. had the nerve to say we weren’t endorsing the coup. Since when does the United States ambassador go running off within 24 hours of a democratically-elected president’s kidnapping, and has his picture taken with the kidnappers? I mean, why didn’t Shapiro just go off and meet with the guys who killed Danny Pearl? It would have been about as appropriate.

On the lighter-side

Okay, I’ve been prone to rant the past few days…well the past few months. Anyway, I’m not a one-trick pony! I’m not just an anti-Bush-Clinton-evil pissed off American. I also enjoy kicking back, having a Shiner Bock, and watching Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Good stuff.

Ronald Reagan: Stool Pigeon Fascist

Good article from USA Today showing how the FBI lies, lies, lies and then when they get caught in a lie with hard evidence they finally tell the truth. What makes anyone think things are different today? I’m sure most ground level FBI agents have noble intentions, but unfortunately the FBI and the CIA are tools of murderers and thieves. In recent weeks, we have seen stories of FBI complicity with the mafia, CIA buffoonery, and now this story finally coming out despite the best attempts at killing the story.

This article also shows what an evil, contemptible piece of crap Ronald Reagan was. I would say IS but the man’s brain has long been swiss cheese. He probably can’t even wipe his own once evil ass:

The documents obtained by the Chronicle show just how extensive these activities were in California, how Kerr and others were targeted, and how eagerly Reagan worked to quash protests.

Gov. Reagan intended to mount a “psychological warfare campaign” against subversives, file tax evasion and other charges against them, and do anything else it could to restore moral order, Herbert Ellingwood, Reagan’s legal affairs secretary, told the FBI in a request for confidential information about people on campus.

The records show FBI director J. Edgar Hoover agreed to provide such information from the agency’s files.

“This has been done in the past,” the director said, “and has worked quite successfully.”

The Office of Ronald Reagan referred the Chronicle’s questions to Edwin Meese III, Reagan’s chief of staff as governor. Meese said the FBI, as far as he knew, gave Reagan no special political help, and that he did not remember planning any activities against “subversives.”

“There was never any concentrated strategy to do these things,” he said.

The documents also show that the FBI tried to protect Reagan from being implicated for lying about his own past as a member of several groups officially deemed subversive by altering his security clearance.

Reports that Reagan informed on his fellow actors at a time when the FBI was trying to root out suspected subversives have surfaced before, but were downplayed. In 1985, when the FBI released some documents about Reagan, a Reagan spokesman said he had only a “very minor” involvement with the bureau at a time when he was president of the Screen Actors Guild.

The records obtained by the Chronicle reveal who it was that Reagan and his first wife, Jane Wyman, named during a 1947 meeting with FBI agents: Larry Parks (The Jolson Story), Howard Da Silva (The Lost Weekend) and Alexander Knox (Wilson). Each was later called before the House Un-American Activities Committee and blacklisted in Hollywood.

The new documents also show Reagan’s contacts with the bureau were more extensive than he acknowledged or has been reported: Files show he repeatedly gave the FBI names of people he suspected of being communist over the years.

My favorite part is the justification for trying to destroy the lives of young americans:

In its unsuccessful battle to keep them secret, the agency had said its actions had been proper — that it had merely tried to protect civil order and national security during a time when the nation feared Communism and waged war in Vietnam.

What hubris.
