Worth reading:
Conservatism IS war: “No such boundaries are possible. It follows, therefore, that “war” in the new sense — war with no beginning or end, no front and rear, and no distinction between military and civilian — is incompatible with democracy, and not just in practice, not just temporarily, but permanently and conceptually.”
Copyright and censorship: Past as prologue? Fascinating.
Wild Justice by Alexander Cockburn. Some good writing here about Enron. He also mentions the fact that the death toll of civilians in Afghanistan due to being bombed by the US is equivalent to the death toll as a result of the WTC attack.
